1989 Toyota Corolla All-trac SR5 Wagon with 4A-GE 20 Valve Silver-Top Engine

****Up for sale is my Blue, All-wheel-drive, Engine-swapped Corolla. No reasonable offer refused!****

Located near 162nd and Glisan (Portland, OR) ((almost Gresham)) Contact!

Car runs, but does not drive.

The Good:

It has a 1.6l 4A-GE 20-valve Silvertop engine, most likely from a 95-ish Japanese AE101. It came with a 6-speed, limited slip transmission, which I no longer have.

The engine runs well on 4 individual throttle bodies and custom intake with MAF sensor.

Nearly new clutch, aluminum flywheel, .8mm metal head gasket, ARP studs, header, aaooga horn, off-road lights, racing stripes, full set of skid-steer tires mounted on chrome painted Tercel wheels in addition to its street tires, custom gauges, stereo, upholstery, cruise control, factory wing.

Clear title, Special plate (lifetime without DEQ)

Regatta Blue (Because you gotta Regatta!) Paint Code 8G1

The SR5 Package includes rear overhead storage, adjustable lumbar support (broken, yet easily accessible through small incision). Crank windows, no AC from factory.
Can be towed on a dolly, which brings me to..

The Bad:

Bad Transmission. At the 2019 Oregon Gambler 500, I turned left in a parking area, and the car got stuck. We pushed it back and took the turn wider. After about 30 minutes, I felt resistance and the car slowed until I caught a whiff of clutch smoke. I came back later and towed it to Chemult, then back to Portland. I disconnected the drive shaft to be able to tow it one a dolly.

It feels like it could be caught between 2 gears or the front differential could be gutted. When the Silver-top was swapped in, no modifications had to be made to the transmission, so any AE-95 Alltrac Corolla 5-speed transmission will fit. The clutch was almost brand new before any of this happened, and can be re-used. You can still engage it to stall the engine. It may need a battery. My friend has been using it in his Plymouth Horizon, and he falls asleep to the CB.

I'm not at the point in my life where I can devote enough time to it, and we would both be happier if it found a good home. All offers considered, but not booze because I'm on the wagon. Come check it out and haul it off for what you think it's worth. Offers over $1000 will be ignored. Bring a trailer or a crap-load of bailing twine (I'm not here to judge).

Come see it after 6 pm Mon-Wed, after about 8-ish Thurs-Friday, or anytime Sat-Sun
